History
In 1963 Edwin Mascal began his electrical contracting business in DeKalb, IL based on the principles of Quality, Integrity and Service. Those principles continued to guide the company under the leadership of George E. Schofield who became President in 1971. As the business grew under the leadership of Mr. Schofield, new technology was added to allow estimators and project managers to become more efficient and provide customers with better service.
In the late 1990's, the third generation of leadership came to Mascal Electric determined to take the company to the next level of productivity and customer satisfaction. George E. Schofield, now Chairman of the Board, named John J. Corsiglia President on January 1, 1998 who along with partners Tony Marzano and Richard Carey, purchased Mascal Electric on April 1, 1999. After Richard's retirement in 2006, George E. Schofield, Jr. became a partner. In January, 2008, the current leaders moved up to the senior management level. This group now leads a vibrant work force as one of the largest and most respected electrical contractors in Northern Illinois, with revenues in excess of $21 million dollars per year.
