Mascal Certified to Install Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Mascal Electric is now certified to install electric vehicle supply equipment [EVSE], also known as charging stations, for electric vehicles coming soon to local car dealers.  Mascal electricans have completed the required training to install charging stations manufactured by Coulomb, Eaton, GE, Leviton, SPX and Voltec.  "We are pleased to be at the front of this exciting technology as electric vehicles from Chevrolet, Ford, Nissan, Toyota and others enter the market" said Scott Ellenberger, Vice President for Business Development.  "We are ready and able to provide residential and commercial customers with a wide range of charging station installation options".

Mascal Electric, Inc received NECA Zero Injury Award

Mascal Electric is pleased to announce that it has received the 2010 National Electrical Contractors Association Zero Injury Award. Mascal Electric is one of 9 electrical contractors in District 4 [Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin] to have worked through an entire year without experiencing any recordable incidents. To be considered for this award, contractors must submit a short entry form and a copy of the OSHA Form 300A, total number of manhours worked and the Experience Modification Rate supplied for Workers Compensation insurance policies. Congratulations to the entire Mascal Electric team for their outstanding commitment to safety!

Mascal Receives Award from Turner Constrution
Turner Construction held their 19th Annual Outstanding Subcontractor Performance Awards Breakfast at the University Club, downtown Chicago.  At the breakfast, Mascal Electric, Inc received the 2009 Outstanding Subcontractor Award 'in recognition of outstanding service and exemplary performance for Waubonsee Community College - Aurora Campus'.  The new campus is a 132,000 sf, 5 story building located downtown Aurora. The building is a state-of-the-art educational facility with 52 classrooms, 2 science labs, 11 computer rooms and other specialized instructional spaces.  For more information about the campus, visit www.waubonsee.edu/aurora.

2010 Midwest Construction Ranking
Midwest Construction has ranked Mascal Electric Inc. 69th overall and 20th for Electrical Contractors in the August/September 2010 Edition that features the 2010 Top Specialty Contractors. The list of top Midwestern specialty contractors is ranked by reported revenue from 2009. All contractors on the list have offices in Illinois, Indiana, eastern Missouri or Wisconsin and work principally in one or more construction specialties ranging from HVAC to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, roofing and more than a dozen trades. FEA Workshop
Mascal Electric, Inc is proud to announce that Vice President Adam Mata and Project Manager Dan Hager have attended the Facilities Energy Audit Workshop, Phase I & II. The workshops will position Mascal Electric Inc. at the forefront of the rapidly expanding green energy business sector of Comprehensive Facility Energy through education and training in the best practices and most effective techniques to conduct Comprehensive Facility Energy Audits [CFEA]. The workshop consisted of two phases of technical CFEA application: 1. initial Energy Audit Screening, and 2. Preliminary Energy Assessment [PEA] Data Collection. Ellenberger Earns LEED Accreditation
Mascal Electric Inc. is pleased to announce that Scott Ellenberger, Vice President of Business Development, has earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design [LEED] accreditation from the United States Green Building Council.  LEED Accredited Professionals are building industry professionals who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and the LEED Green Building Rating System.  The LEED AP credential indicates that the professional has the knowledge and skills to facilitate the LEED certification process.

Buildings constructed using green building practices and the LEED Rating System are more energy efficient, have less impact on the environment, have lower building operating costs, enhanced building marketability, increased worker productivity and reduced indoor air quality problems.
