| Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Mascal Electric, Inc. is now certified to install electric vehicle supply equipment [EVSE], also known as charging stations, for electric vehicles coming soon to local car dealers. Mascal electricians have completed the required training to install charging stations manufactured by Coulomb, Eaton, Leviton, SPX and Voltec. EVSE stations come in three types. Level 1 is primarily for residential use and plugs into a standard wall outlet. This unit takes 12-14 hours to charge a car. The Level 2 type may be used for residential or commercial applications and requires a separate electrical circuit and additional wiring. This unit will charge a car in 4-6 hours. The Level 3 unit will charge a car in 30 minutes, but requires significant upgrades and a great deal of electricity.
